Alex is currently in Las Vegas on business. She’s been gone a couple of days now and won’t be back until Saturday so we’re all missing her pretty badly. And I’m also pretty tired.
Putting two kids to bed on your own is a logistical conundrum that I have only recently solved. Basically, stick the older one in front of some Magna-tiles and say something like “there is no way you can build a tower that is taller than you” and then leave him to prove you wrong while you take the younger one through his bedtime routine. Then leave the younger one in bed screaming his ar$e off while you take your eldest one through his bedtime routine (which I now have shaved down to about 45 minutes) by which time the younger one should have stopped screaming. Hopefully. Then get a beer out of the fridge and order a curry on Seamless.com.
Fortunately for me, Max and Charlie have been amazing and very good to their Dad.
Anyway, I asked the boys to pose for me for a picture for Mummy- I thought it would work better than the picture of our bedroom as a way of getting her back to New York asap.
